Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site the website collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from the visitor’s email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if it is being used. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After approval of the visitor’s comment, the visitor’s profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If visitor’s upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. It is possible that any visitors to the website could download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If a visitor leaves a comment on the site they may opt-in to saving their name, email address and website in cookies. These are for convenience so that the visitor does not have to fill in their details again when leaving any additional comments. These cookies last for one year.
If visiting the login page, the website will set a temporary cookie to determine if the visitor’s browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when the visitor close their browser.
Upon log in, the website will also set up several cookies to save login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for one year. If “Remember Me” is selected, the login will last for two weeks. Upon log out of the account, the login cookies will be removed.

If leaving a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so the website can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If the visitor holds an account on this site, or has made any comments, the visitor can request to receive an exported file of the personal data the website holds about the visitor. The visitor can also request the erasing of any personal data we held about them. This does not include any data the website is obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
