Hello!
Hi!
I’m Lydia from Escott Art. I a, trying to navigate my way through self healing, using the trauma and abuse I have gone through as my golden pieces to maybe help another in the world.
I have previously written a guest post on the topic of Darkness which you can find here.
Where is your favourite place to be and why?
Mother Nature, she holds me and listens where humanity fails.
There is power when you sit amongst the creaking, waving trees. Your spirit becomes lucid when you take a look up and see the trees gently swaying, breaking up the wide and beautiful sky.
She reminds us to slow down, to notice, she invites us into a state of love. How perfectly it all works in union. She offers me space from a world that has become obsessed with stimulation. Everything is working in perfect balance & harmony.
She soaks up my tears and replaces my heartache with gratitude.
I specifically love trees, their beautiful strength and the way the do not resist. They are a great reminder of surrender as they nourish each other. They are the representation of perfect unity, just like us they have the ability to withstand the harshest storms.
We get to sit under them, touch them and feel their power, this is such a profound blessing that we as humans have forgotten.
She is my favourite place to be because without her, I do not exist, we need her but it serves to remember she does not need us. She is our mother, the beating heart of spirit. She is to be worshipped, treasured, loved and respected.
Let her guide you, quieten down and hear what she has to say, she knows what we do not. She is called Mother because she teaches, she unconditionally loves, she nurtures and nourishes, she reminds us of the wild that is within each and every one of us. We are her children, so naturally it is for us to listen, respect and look to her.
I wish for a world where we all come to know our inner tribal wild again, alongside her.
What is your favourite way to unwind, connect with unity, spirit, higher self, faery?
I practice connection throughout the day.
When I find my mind in the loop of thought, ego, self I simple whisper the word God. God to me, is unity, oneness, spirit of the universe, the interwoven web of existence that pulses through all we see around us. It is the beating heart.
Place your two fingers on your pulse, you are alive, we are connected to something much bigger. That feeling of awe and wonder we feel when we see the perfect night sky full of stars is the same magic that lives within us all. The intricate design of a daisy, a tree, a bird. Energy which is that of the same but is having a different experience.
I connect to this by simply looking around me, really looking, listening and deeply knowing that I am part of the whole, not separate from it.
Separation exists only within the limitations of the mind & we are energy therefore we are boundless, infinite and full of potential. Nature reminds us of this truth every moment, our very pulse reminds us of this truth, we just need to pause, breathe and tap into that divine love.
It’s there, waiting for us all.
What is the one thing that irritates you and why?
The way we have come to treat one another.
Separation as we said is that of an illusion. A falsehood. It is fed by society, so that people are consistently battling the ego driven sense of superiority so we feel worthwhile in a world that has made us all feel deep sense of lack.
There is only equal. We all have a will to live, we all feel emotion, we all bleed the same and we all want to be loved. Skin, border, sexuality, social status, religion – it all takes us away from the very thing that we are. Be-ings.
We have lost the essence of community, support, and love, and have become driven by consumerism, greed, and a never-ending sense of not being enough.
It is each and all of our individual responsibilities to de-condition what has been forced on us which drives humans to the madness we see all around us, everyday. I am you, you are me.
As humans it is our duty to ascend and grow, to question why we are behaving in certain ways due to fears that have been imposed on us. Every single person in this world has a voice, deserving to be heard.
The homeless person that sits there being judged and condemned by society is too a human being – making him or her, family. Deserving of food, shelter, a smile, the only thing that is different between you or him/her is circumstance.
So, what irritates me the most is the disconnection we all feel from our natural state of being and how our behaviours toward one another are mirror image of how disconnected we have become, more so breaks my heart than irritates it.
Your soul naturally only understands that of love, your soul will always look toward what your mind makes you turn away from.
